Every year, on April 28th, the International Labour Organization (ILO) celebrates the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. In addition, in 2019, the ILO celebrates its centenary, so it takes this opportunity to take stock of its activity during this period. Abengoa also joins this celebration, which responds to the strong commitment of the company to the people related to its day-to-day.

The International Labour Organization (ILO) celebrates on April 28th the World Day for Safety and Health at Work in order to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases around the world.

It should be noted that, in this year’s edition, taking advantage of the fact that the ILO celebrates its centenary, the organization takes stock of the last 100 years, in which it has worked to improve safety and health at work and looks at the future to continue with these efforts, in order to promote positively and non-stopping the promotion of a preventive culture in matters of safety and health for all parties.

The ILO this year takes stock of its activity to analyze the changes produced in the different employment modalities.

This global balance will analyze the changes that occurred in employment modalities, technology (digitization and CIT, work in digital platforms, automation and robotics), demography, globalization, climate change and others that affect the dynamics of safety and health and the nature of related jobs, without forgetting the risks and recognized and recurrent variations that persist in developing and developed countries.
